Event Details

The Bernal Hill Players return to Pro Arts Gallery for an enchanting evening of Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary chamber music.

The program features a magnificent Brahms Trio, a divine Mozart aria, a zesty C.P.E. Bach sonata, a trance-inducing Saint-Säens tarantelle, and a sinuous Piazzolla fugue.

The Bernal Hill Players is a trio of seasoned professional chamber musicians featuring Martha Rodríguez-Salazar on flute and voice, Leah di Tullio on clarinet, and Jennifer Peringer on piano.  They are joined for this concert by special guest Poppea Dorsam on cello.

The Bernal Hill Players believe in keeping music live, local, diverse, and friendly. Their next performing project, "San Francisco: In and About the City", features new works by local composers.

Bay Area Classical Harmonies

Called by some "the most versatile group in the Bay Area," BACH's impressive range of repertoire has included cantatas, symphonies and masses. The Opera division, incorporating stage professionals and up-and-comers, first performed at the Julia Morgan Center for the Arts, presenting a concert version of Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro" in December 2000. Since its inception in 1998 by graduate and undergraduate students of the Music Department of UC Berkeley, BACH has cultivated young musical talent through the performance of great classical works for audiences in the Bay Area and beyond. The group attained non-profit status in May 2002, promoting professionalism and providing tax benefits to its donors.
